- Nov 188:00 AMStafford Smith & Ritsu Katsumata: Ancestry in ProgressExhibition: November 5 – December 15Lecture & Opening Reception: November 5, 5:00 PMSmith (visual art) and Katsumata (electric violin) present their collaborative practice weaving image, sound, history, and memory. Smith draws from comic books, manga, surrealism, Ukiyo-e, anime, and pop culture to examine cultural narratives, while Katsumata creates vivid soundscapes blending classical training with experimental composition. Together, their work explores ancestry, cultural identity, and the stories that connect us.

- Nov 1812:00 PMMindfulness MeditationWhether you are an experienced meditation practitioner or a brand new beginner, you are welcome to attend weekly mindfulness meditation sessions in the Meditation Chapel on Tuesdays 12:00-12:45, beginning on January 21st. Kim Daubman, professor emerita and certified meditation teacher, will lead the sessions. Sessions will include some discussion of the benefits of meditation and how to sustain a practice, but the bulk of the time will be spent in lightly guided meditation. - Nov 187:00 PMSarah Ghazal Ali & Tiffany MiSarah Ghazal Ali, a former Stadler Fellow at Bucknell, is the author of Theophanies (Alice James Books, 2024), winner of the GLCA New Writers Award and California B (https://www.commonwealthclub.org/events/special-events/california-book-awards)ook Award and a finalist for the Kate Tufts Discovery Award. She teaches at Macalaster College.Tiffany Mi, the Fall 2025 Philip Roth Resident in Creative Writing at Bucknell, is a Chinese-American poet interested in collective memory and the archive. Her work appears in Poetry Northwest, Nimrod, Pithead Chapel, and elsewhere. She recently completed an MFA in Literary Arts at Brown University.
